Ms. Knuth counsels employers of all sizes on all aspects of the employment relationship, from hire to termination. She has defended employers in state and federal courts against allegations of employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliation, breach of contract and statutory violations, including Title VII and FLSA class actions. She has briefed and argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court, the Sixth and Third Circuit Federal Courts of Appeals, and the Ohio Eighth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals. She has represented employers in administrative actions before the EEOC, DOL, OCRC and other state regulatory bodies.
Ms. Knuth represents management in all phases of labor relations including union organizing drives, representation elections, initial and successor contract negotiations, grievance resolution, NLRB charges and strike/picketing disputes.
Her practice includes employment-related immigration. She counsels employers on I-9 compliance, conducts I-9 audits, advises employers on responses to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Notices of Inspection, and prepares petitions for non-immigrant and immigrant visas and applications for naturalization.
Ms. Knuth has served on the board of The Broadway School of Music and the Arts, a nonprofit community school located in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood, since 2000 and is the current Board President.
Ms. Knuth grew up in Lyndhurst and resides in Highland Heights.
